While they're working on getting access to drilling in ANWR, oil companies are looking at more drilling off the California coast. When there are more eyesores off the coast, and more contamination on our beaches, do you think that will slow Californians' lust for big cars?

As much as I hate this idea, I suppose at least it will be a visual reminder that driving gas guzzlers has a cost. It won't be "out of sight, out of mind". It'll be something many people see. Even though I rarely see the beach, I know I definitely hear about the beach closures and beach pollution on the news.
