Little boys and trains

Last weekend, I took the boys to Disneyland with one of Marcelo's cousins and her kids (she's Marc's godmother). Her youngest son is just 8 months older than Marc and is as much a fan of trains as he is. So, of course, one of the rides we had to go on was the Disneyland train that goes around the park. As we depart from each station, the conductor says "All aboard!". At one of the stations, after hearing "All aboard!", he starts singing the song from "Choo Choo Soul", a little between show bit that they have on the Disney Chanel instead of commercials (http://disney.go.com/disneychannel/playhouse/choochoosoul/ccs_video.html). He started singing "All aboard the choo choo train, all aboard the choo choo train", and Brian finishes "All aboard the choo choo train, all aboard, all aboard, Lets go!". It was very cute. :)

What is it with little boys and trains?

We also took Marc to the Train Expo at the Anaheim convention center a few weeks ago. There were a lot of dealers there selling model trains and train hobby organizations with their models set up and running. I realized that a lot of little boys never grow up... there were quite a few men there my Dad's age who were running the train setups. Marc had a blast. Even Alex liked watching the trains running. The coolest one was a layout that was the Disneyland Monorail. It was set up just like at the park - they even had a model of the Dumbo Ride, the old 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride, and a few others.
