I thought this was a 2-year-old thing?

Last night, Marc finally remembered the lollypop I'd been promising him (but not reminding him about) after dinner. He'd ask for it every morning at breakfast and before dinner, but always seemed to forget about it after dinner. So last night he finally got it. Alex, who was sitting in my arms at the time, put his hand on my face so I'd look at him and said "'pop Mommy?". I told him "no lollypop". He turned his palms up, shrugged his shoulders and said "Why?". Trying to hold back the laugh, I said "because they're bad for your teeth". To which he replied "Why?" with the same gesture as before.

I thought the "why why why"s were supposed to wait for 2! But it's so darn cute! So is when he puts his hands on his cheeks and says "Oh no!" Or when he dances along with the 60's style dancing on the Backyardigans Super Secret Super Spy.
