2008-04-30 1:40 PM Chupacabra Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (2) Marcelo's favorite word in the Spanish language is "chupacabra". He uses it for everything. (he doesn't speak very much Spanish, though his parents are fluent and for his grandparents it's their first language) A typical exchange is something like this:
Me: "Marc, what would you like for lunch? Peanut butter and jelly, or..." Marcelo: "Or some CHUPACABRA?" Marc: "No, Daddy. Not chupacabra!" or Marc shows me a picture in his book: "What's this, Mommy?" Marcelo: "It's a chupacabra!" So this morning, I asked Marc what he wanted for breakfast (strawberries and Life cereal) and then Alex. Alex had his binky in his mouth (I know, bad Mommy...) so I couldn't understand what he'd asked for. I told him to take it out and tell me. And what did he say?
