2005-03-08 3:08 PM Service with a smile Okay, I'm a sucker for Japanese service. Yes, yes, I know I complain about how if you ask for one thing slightly different they all freak out (like if you try to bring a take out milk into the seating section or if you ask for a hotdog bun without mustard) but really, Japan is excellent.

The girl who smiles and rushes over to the door when I come in with my stroller and 3 year old. The old security guy at the bank who rushes over and opens the door for us on our way out and then always asks a polite question about my kids. The unflappable waitresses at restaurants who don't blink an eyelash over spilled juice, a spoon dropped for the 3rd time, and a mound of used napkins on plates. Yay Japan (for once) Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
