...it's usually a good thing when Naoto goes to Japan on business.

He gets to see his parents and siblings. (especially cool this time is that he will be there for his parents' birthdays and father's "real" retirement celebration)

I spend a lot of time at night writing instead of watching TV with him.

And he always writes to me that he loves me and misses me. (we do the gmail IM thing)

Grandma is saving the day for me this week as Naoto only gave me two days' notice before he left. I think girl2 is becoming UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY spoiled by grandma and the book readings, activities, lunches made in shapes of faces, etc. etc.

Not to mention that Naoto gets a daily allowance in Japan, so the months he goes on business trips usually end up financially easier for us. :)
