Because they allow gay clergy! So there!

I grew up in the Lutheran Church, was confirmed and was even a crucifer. (the one that walks down the aisle in the beginning holding a big old cross)

And then I went to college. A Quaker college. And then I went to Japan. And it didn't seem relevant. And while I was definitely a "holiday christian" all my life, it wasn't until I had children that I decided it did mean something to me to have that education and experience in my life.

And so I went back to ELCA, despite the weird Church basement jello molds and tuna salads.

And I don't regret it one bit.

It's not (thanks Helenahandbasket) gay's fault that is making marriages break up :)
