2008-02-15 8:31 AM Wine and Steak and the perfect Romantic Hero Naoto gave me wine for Valentine's day as I am not into flowers and I have WAY too much chocolate left over from my birthday. It was an Oregon Pinot Noir and it had a GIANT frog on it :)
I gave him steak. 'Nuff said. Via the Smart Bitches is the UK Romantic Novelists Association's list of the perfect top ten romantic heroes: 1. Johnny Depp (okay, yes he's sexy, but he's also hella CREEPY) 2. Daniel Craig (I can see it, but I don't feel it. He's kind of pale and bland) 3. Sean Bean (oh yes) 4. Richard Armitage (?) 5. Hugh Jackman (oh baby) 6. Colin Firth (Yes, he is still King. And masterpiece theater is re-broadcasting the Pride and Prejudice mini series in which he is a young, luscious, brooding Darcy) 7. Alan Rickman (the only man I'd leave Naoto for. I mean, really. He's awesome. I'd choose him over Sting. ) 8. Pierce Brosnan (Okay, in high school I was all over his Gaelic good looks, but now? Not so much) 9. George Clooney (I don't get it) 10. David Tennant (Dr. Who? Really? What are those UK novelists putting in their tea?) I agree with the Smart Bitches that this is a fairly white and bland list. I would also add: Naveen Andrews because he is a good brooder. Oded Fehr because of how he looks with tattoos in the movie Mummy. Kimura Takyua because he's the Brad Pitt of Japan, if Brad Pit was more like Johnny Depp. Mark Dacascos cause he's also slightly goofy as well as sexy. Russell Wong among others.....
