Elizabeth Hoyt's The Serpent Prince is a good read.

Simon, the angsty hero who believes his quest to duel-to-the-death the four nobles who caused his brother's death, sometimes got on my nerves with all the "must not despoil an angel" stuff.

But the heroine was great. Plucky, but not too plucky for the times. I love the fact that she goes all biblical on him because it smacks of truth for that time.

I also like the emphasis on forgiveness.
