2008-11-17 6:17 AM 2008 Books #118 Paper Towns Paper Towns by John Green is a YA book about a journey.

A physical journey (an awesome road trip by four friends) and a metaphysical one (wherein Quentin, the main character, using Walt Whitman's Song of Me and his own heart as a map, figures out the limitations and awesomeness of human connections). Margo Roth Spielman is everything Quentin isn't: daring, popular, outrageous. But when she disappears right before graduation, Quentin finds out there are parts to him and his friends that he never imagined. What I particularly loved about his book is the voice of the male protagonist. He was real and vulnerable, yet in a way slightly different than female protagonists. Highly rRecommended for all, no matter their age. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
