Dear Author had a review of The Abduction Club (available on youtube) on their website not long ago.

The plot summary on IMDB says "A group of Irish noblemen kidnap girls in order to marry into their fortune and avoid becoming priests or soldiers. "

However, it's really about two of them, Byrne and Strang, who kidnap a pair of sisters. Things go wrong. Hijinks ensue. Despite how pathetically inept Byrne and Strang are, and their penniless state as younger brothers of nobles, they manage to charm the ladies and escape a hangman's noose.

It was light, fun, romantic period fare.

Check it out if you have a few minutes and are into period romance. Each piece on youtube is in about 10 minute increments. Very manageable.
