Mentioned by Rich Horton

"Japanese Dreams" is a speculative fiction anthology that published my story "And the Bones Would Keep Speaking." This is a story rooted in my knowledge of Oregon and inspired by the cross section of two songs: "Travelin' Soldier" by the Dixie Chicks and the song "Momma Look Sharp" from the musical 1776.

Yes, Kirsten's brain is constantly occupied but unexpected musical mashups. It's a fact of life.

Anyway, noted speculative short fiction reviewer Rich Horton mentioned my story as one he liked in the anthology.

This pleased me because the story I think was a little more adventurous for me in terms of theme and structure.
