2012-03-27 10:33 AM Only Slightly Guilty: No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies Lean Body's No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter cookies on Youtube are kind of fun to watch being prepared. But how do they fare with a)me and girl1 and b) picky girl2?
Here's the original recipe --- You will need: 1 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/4 cup stevia, 2 tbsp. baking cocoa, 1/4 cup peanut butter, 1/4 cup apple sauce --- Directions: Add all ingredients to bowl. Stir together. Separate into desired number of cookies. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes and enjoy. Here's how I changed it added 1/4 cup Chia Seeds, didn't use stevia, added 1/8 cup of melted chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of dried berries. My version was....okay, Girl1 and I both ate them. They weren't quite sweet enough, actually kind of bitter from the Hershey's dark chocolate cacao I used to dust the outside. Girl2 didn't eat them the first time she tried it. She ate it as a last resort snack a day later but didn't clamor for more. I think next time I'll add a bit of honey and more dried berries (possibly finely chopped dates) to sweeten it.
