This week's Musical Crush: Kishi Bashi.

He's a bit like Andrew Bird in that he records layers of tracks in his performance (vocal, violin, etc) to build up music layer by layer. If you want to see him doing this in action, check out this video where he plucks and bows his violin, does bass and weird high-pitched syllables and it all WORKS to create a cool song. (plus he bops around with his violin like crazy).

This video, Bright Whites is just so whimsical and fun, with a slight dark undercurrent. Very cool.
