2005-09-13 11:32 AM ILY: Production insurance I LOVE YOU, I'M SORRY, AND I'LL NEVER DO IT AGAIN, currently in pre-production. If you've been reading this blog for a while, you know I want to shoot in a factory. The owners of the factory where I want to shoot will be concerned about their liability if someone gets hurt. So the obvious answer is for me to look into buying my own production insurance. Problem is, I can't get any insurance agents to call me back. As potatoes go, my project is pretty small. If you got it next to your eggs at a diner, you'd complain. You'd say, "Waiter! These potatoes are small." But I still need insurance. If anyone knows (or is) an insurance agent who's willing to look into a package that'll offer injury and equipment protection for a 4-day shoot, please email me with "Short film insurance" in the subject line. (My spam filter has gone bananas recently, so the more clearly the email's labeled, the better.) Thanks! Producing/directing a decent-sized short film is as much an exercise in aggravation and red tape as anything else. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
