Favorite fall dessert: Apple cider donuts, fresh out of the rickety donut conveyor belt machine, eaten outside under turning foliage

Holiday: When we're living somewhere with a door on the street, so I can do the amplified "talking pumpkin" thing: Hallowe'en. When we're not: Thanksgiving.

Best fall memory: Being sent to Paris by wife, friends, and family to finish THE NIGHT MEN. Edit: Wait... that was Winter. Why did I think that was Fall? I'll have to think about this.

Runner Up: Offhand, attending the New Orleans Film Festival with the first short film I co-produced and scored. Beignets and cafe au lait at the Cafe du Monde every morning.

Worst fall memory: My hospitalization and diagnosis of MS screwing up an important audition for Kathleen.

Most puzzling fall memory: A bunch of L.A. men gathered around maybe a 4'-wide dusting of white, debating whether it was snow.

Best thing about fall walks: Fireflies.

Favorite fall chore: Picking up family and friends at the airport.

Least favorite fall chore: Can't think of one.

Best change in the home: Friends and family in it.

Favorite flower: Uh...

Best tree in the fall: Whatever's near those donuts.

Fall ritual: Nope.

Most frustrating thing about fall: In New York, Fall and Spring only seem to last a few weeks, while the worst parts of Summer and Winter drag on forever.

Favorite clothing: Babies' first Hallowe'en costumes.

Best method of transportation: Great time of year for bicycling. Cool enough to be comfortable, not so cold you have to be a nut to go out in it.
