Journal entries with ILY in the titles are about the short screen musical
I LOVE YOU, I'M SORRY, AND I'LL NEVER DO IT AGAIN,
currently in pre-production.

I had some leftover things from the CUPID & PSYCHE project temporarily hold up progress on I LOVE YOU, I'M SORRY (nothing awful) but they're resolved and we're back underway.

I'm hoping the first director/choreographer/costumer meeting will be this Saturday. What I'm waiting for at this point is a response from someone I offered a position to. That should happen in the next couple of days or so.

The pre-visualization continues to take shape. Storyboard frames of varying detail are slugged in from start to end. They will change in response to the director/choreographer collaboration.

The ending has always bothered me a little. It feels like it needs a short capper--nothing huge, just 30 seconds of denouement. I've been poking at it from one side or another for a few months, and last night I thought of something. It doesn't really work yet, but it feels like the right angle.

I got a general liability and equipment insurance quote in the $1K range. That's steep for a $10K film, but no steeper than I was expecting. Depending on how my location talks go, that may be my first hard expense.

And that's about all until I post another pre-viz Quicktime. More coming soon...
