Just got this from the guy who runs my ISP:

For the past few days we have been undergoing a freakin "dictionary attack". It's like a denial of service attack, where a spammer sends a large file to gibberish email addresses (e.g. asydgqwerhsad@domainname.com). The result is that trying to deal with all the bouncebacks is using up all the server resources, so real mail can't go through.

We're working on trying to block the idiot....
