Today I actually began counting down to my first vacation in a long time. Jenn and I are flying to the East Coast for two weeks. Two of her friends are getting married (not to each other), so we are going to the weddings, hang with her friends, see the sites, etc. I'm sure I should have started counting down much earlier than this, but it wasn't very tangible until now.

Much of my life has been monopolized by this migration effort that I'm leading at work. I don't normally put so many hours in, but job security is in short supply. However! This weekend jam packed with non-work stuff. :)

Friday night, Jenn and I are gaming with our friends Ken and Shelley. They are very cool people, Shelley is a screen writer and Ken is a computer geek/software developer. He just released his online strategy game, it's very cool. You can check it out at http://www.fightingflattops.com/.

Saturday we are having our house warming party. Woo! That means the place needs to be beautiful, and filled with food and alcohol. WebVan is our friend.

Then Sunday, Father's Day, my entire family is coming over and we (Jenn included) are going out to Buca di Beppo, a family style Italian restaurant.

Then, Monday, I dive back into the migration effort at work. Until Wednesday, when we fly out! Phew, it's going to be a busy week. Wish me luck!
