Hot Tubbin'

It seems Do Joo Nim's theory that the hot patches were over stimulating my shoulders was a good one. I woke up this morning feeling MUCH better and I'm still feeling good. Still some pain, but the best I've felt in the awhile. DJN asked me the other night if I believed in acupuncture now, since I was more willing to have it done. I tried to explain to him that I wasn't hesitant before because I thought it was a hoax, I was just afraid of the needles. :)

I read quite a bit about acupuncture and acupressure in this book that Jenn bought me for Christmas, called "Ki Power: Korean Thoughts and Principles of Energy" (forgive me if I remembered it incorrectly).

I'm going to head down for at least one more treatment tonight... I've been interested in the healing aspect of Hwa Rang Do for a little while now. Apparently, when you reach 3rd Dan (3rd degree black belt), instruction in acupuncture/acupressure becomes part of the curriculum. I think that is very cool, and I'm really interested in it. It may be very silly, but I have this image of myself in 10 years as a total Renaissance man, with a graduate degree in Computer Science, a black belt in Hwa Rang Do, and who knows, maybe a license to practice acupuncture! I know, maybe I'm being silly and in a year I won't care about acupuncture, but if that happens, it happens, I won't worry about that now. :)

Jenn has still been sick for while :(, so we made a doctor's appointment for her. Jenn's self-diagnosis was correct, a sinus infection. Anti-biotics in hand, Jenn returns from the doctor. It will still take awhile for the medicine to help, but I'm glad that there is an end in sight.

Shelley IM'd me today to tell me about some houses for rent listed on a BB at her office. Woo! We are starting to look for a new place to move into that will be our last rental. This place should last us at most 2 years, at which point we'll be able to buy a house (I'll be sufficiently out of debt, and we'll have a good down payment saved up).
