The Brainwashing of Children
I just got forwarded this link to a Christan Science Fair
It's a Science Fair built around fundamental Christian questions and beliefs. I was reading through the article being kind of amused by the "science" involved in some of the projects and suddenly came across the 2nd Place of the Middle School competition:
"Women Were Designed For Homemaking"
The synopsis of his findings talk about how a woman's low center of gravity makes it easier for her to carry laundry baskets and groceries and such and how her physiology is better designed for child rearing, etc. Then I was shocked....
social sciences show that the wages for women workers are lower than for normal workers, meaning that they are unable to work as well and thus earn equal pay;
WHAT?! *deep sigh*
While I disagree that women were specficially designed for housekeeping at least the project's original assertion didn't say "Women must only be housekeepers." This assertion actually states that women are paid less money in the work place because they DESERVE LESS money because they can't do as good a job!!!
I've heard people say that racism and sexism have been effectively destroyed in our country. They think it may still exist but in such small quantities that it doesn't actually have an effect on anything. I think this is clear evidence that sexism is alive, well and fucking up the next generation.
