I hate rocking chairs.
Don't know what it is, but I hate them. However, a while back I sat in the chairs that Ken and Shelley have, which are gliders. Instead of rocking back and forth in a circular fashion, you slide back and forth in a horizontal plane. It's TOTALLY comfy. I wanted to get one for myself, but they are most often designed for nursing mothers and whatnot, so it's hard to find one in a modern looking style.
Our futon/couch has been pretty uncomfortable lately, so we renewed our search for a modern styled glider.. and voila!
http://local.google.com came to the rescue! It helped me find http://www.larockingchair.com just a few miles away. Jenn and I hopped in the car, headed down and found a great little glider chair.
I've been coding in it all day and I've been comfy the whole time. I think it's really beneficial for circulation in the legs too due to the constant, smooth motion.
So, I've scored a great chair to sit in, but our futon/couch still blows. We dismantled the futon frame and tossed it in the trash and went shopping for a new one! :) It should arrive in 2 weeks. Woo!
