I have a strange fear that I can't quite explain. I'm not really sure why it scares me, I'm not really sure where it came from. I can't think back to a specific incident that started it or anything. I've felt this was as long as I can remember.

I have a selective fear of mirrors. It is only at night and only if there is darkness behind me. For example, I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. When I've done my business and I'm going to wash my hands, I will look at the floor and then look up only enough to see the sink to wash my hands. I avoid looking at the mirror while drying my hands. I'm not comfortable until I've got the mirror behind me and I'm heading back to bed. I really don't understand it at all and I have no idea where it came from.
