2006-04-17 10:55 AM Birthday Easter Income Tax Weekend This weekend sported the paying of taxes, the completion of my 30th orbit around the Sun and commemoration of the day that eggs shot out of a rabbit's ass.
Paid the most money in taxes EVER.... until next year that is. That's ok though, lots in taxes means lots in pocket also so I'm not complaining. Saturday was my birthday and it was loads of fun. The love in my life (I'll refer to her as R. from now on) baked me two incredibly tasty (and totally organic) chocolate birthday cakes! We had a load of fun all day, ending with dinner and karaoke with 2 best friends. We tried out the Gas Lite first, a little bar that boasts karaoke. However, it was standing room only and not the scene I was looking for. I wanted some place we could sit down and chill. So, we went over to Little Osaka and found a place that was much better. Much fun was had! This weekend also boasted the first time I've ever dyed eggs, which was fun. I had never done it before so it was quite a learning experience for me. A little illness and a hectic schedule cut into the egg hunting time, but I did manage to hide at least one egg for R. :) Sunday also included a visit from Tom, Tami and Joel (we missed you Alyssa!) who came over to pick up a bunch of old furniture from my place and take it over to Laura's new apartment. Another trip or two to Goodwill, some seriously cleaning and then I'm ready to rebuild my apartment from the ground up. :) Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
