Yesterday I found some extra motivation in the pocket of an old pair of pants and started moving and working around the house.

cleaned the kitchen.

cleaned the dining room.

moved all of the appliances from the kitchen into the dining room.

removed all of the nails, screws, etc from the walls, washed and patched the holes.

found a color scheme suggestion at Home Depot that I liked and came home with the paint for it.

pulled down the jacked up crown moldings.

removed one of the cabinet doors and tested how nicely it sanded. It worked great, I'll be able to sand them down and restain them.


Left to do...

sand the trim and door so it will take the new paint properly.

paint the walls and trim.

sand all the cabinet doors and restain.

when all the doors are off, sand the cabinet frames and restain them as well.

install new hardware on all the cabinets.

It's a long, LONG process, but I started it!
