This is something I meant to include in Part 1, here is the first part of her interview with Katie Couric:

At one point, Palin says that she's noticed in the media coverage of the last few days that people are really interested to know what John McCain is going to do about the crisis. This is very true!
However, the motivation of why we all want to know is the question. She seems to think/imply that we all want to know what McCain is going to do because we're looking to him for a solution.
Personally, I think it's because he's been so damn erratic on the whole issue we're all wondering what crazy thing he's about to say next.
