I was a little restless last night, so instead of waiting for other peeps to become available I decided to grab a movie solo and watched the Watchmen (so that question is finally answered).

It was brutal poetry, which is exactly what it should have been. I'm finally starting to believe that Hollywood has learned to respect the source material. For many years we would get movie remakes of books or comics and they were terrible because they would get rewritten. The books and the comics had rich, interesting characters and stories, but they would be changed to make it flashier or whatever they wanted to call it. I think they've learned! I think Lord of the Rings had a big influence on it too, so special thanks go out to Peter Jackson.

There were bits left out (obviously) and there were small changes made that didn't change the story or the point of the story at all. It was awesome. I'm going to see it at least one more time, probably twice. It was that good!
