Kicking Life Square in the Nuts

This is my new favorite phrase that I picked up from Kevin Pollak.

When asked, "How's ya doing?" I now say: "Kicking life square in the nuts." I instantly feel better just saying it. Try it & let me know.

I am successfully building a habit of roller blading down to the beach each day while listening to an audio book. I'm currently listening to Omar Periu's motivational and investment books. I've already listened to his Real Estate Encyclopedia, Commercial Real Estate Investing, part of Power Prospecting (more useful later, right now I need more direct tools) and am currently listening to Mastering the Art of Time Management. I'm feeling great physically! Even though I did feel a bit under the weather this morning, I didn't actually question if I was going to go roller blading, I was only concerned with what would happen if nature called urgently while I was out skating. That's a huge mental hurdle. I did go out despite the rumbling tummy and skated to Santa Monica Pier, then down to Venice pier and back home.

I'm learning more and more by the day and I'm eager to actually get my hands on a property and take the next step. I need to make sure to take it slowly and not buy unless it's the right property so I'm not going to do that, but still I want to start! Tiffany, Kyle and Theresa have been invaluable with all of the info they have already researched. You guys are awesome. <3

I was hoping to fill the day with research, but since I was under the weather my brain was a little fuzzy so I worked around the house instead. I installed little door stopper/grabber thingies on the office, hallway and front bathroom doors. Now they don't damage the walls and since it's a grabby type they will stay open. :) No more wind causing the hallway door to slam shut and no more fiddling with moving the rubber door wedge in the front bathroom.

My photography class is going very well. I'm enjoying myself a great deal and learning TONS of info. Jones, our teacher, is incredibly smart. He's been teaching photography longer than I've been alive so that makes sense. Each of the assignments he gives us has a hidden lesson. He tells us what he wants us to learn from each assignment and I do learn that thing, but either during or after the shooting something else occurs to me. Some other lesson breaks through in my mind and it's obvious to me it was his intention all along.

On top of all of this awesomeness I have Theresa. :) Today marks 5 months that we've been dating and it continues to be absolutely wonderful! I love her and I'm very happy that she had the patience to hold on while I healed into a state where I could approach this relationship properly. She's smart, caring, beautiful and loves me dearly. I love you, sweetness!
