Jackass Democrats Vote Down Public Option
Public Option Amendments Fail In Senate Finance Committee
The List of Democrat Jackasses:
Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Montana)
Kent Conrad (D-North Dakota)
Blanche Lincoln (D-Arkansas)
Bill Nelson (D-Florida)
Tom Carper (D-Delaware)
Baucus had the nerve to say that he voted against the amendments because he didn't think there was enough support in the Senate to pass the bill with them included.
So... you voted against it because it didn't have enough votes. Hey jackass, if you vote for it then it DOES have enough votes. You vote for something because it's the right thing to do, jackasses.
The word of the day is "jackasses."

Five Democrats joined with all the Republicans on the committee to reject an amendment by Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) in a 15-8 vote.
Three Democrats then joined the Republicans to defeat a second public-option proposal. By a vote of 13-10, the committee rejected an amendment by Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.).
