2009-11-26 9:50 AM VisaPrint.com sells to Spammers VistaPrint.com sells email addresses to spammers. Do not use their services. I am canceling my account with them immediately.
I have an email system in which I generate a custom email address for each website service I use. This is to protect my real email address from getting out into the wild where spammers can get hold of it. So you understand just how random and unguessable these addresses are, here is an example of what they look like (this isn't the real one, it's just an example): vistaprint.com.2041311236@journalscape.com The number in the email address is essentially a random number that is generated based on a couple factors including the date and time when it was created. There is no one that could have guessed this email address. I received spam this morning to the real version of the above email address which means that the assholes at VistaPrint.com sold my email address to a spammer. *fuming* VistaPrint.com is a site which sells business cards and other business related stuff and those jerks sold my email address. I am never using their services again and I recommend you do not use their services either. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
