Got in this morning and found an e-mail from the director of our networking division that one of our people died suddenly this weekend. He was only 29 and apparently collapsed with no warning. No more details were included. But he was a serious karate champ (planning to compete in world contests next year) and in excellent shape and recently engaged, so it's quite a shock to everyone here.

And then on the way in, one of the guys a couple cubicles over from me got into a bad car accident. His car ended upside down, although he's just got scrapes and bruises. So I guess that's not as bad as it could have been, but it's shaping up to be a bad-karma day.
