Shelley "kidnapped" me (with warning) yesterday and "forced" me to take a picnic lunch with her up north to the California Poppy Reserve.

We spent a couple of hours there wandering the trails enjoying hundreds of acres of brilliant orange poppies and many other kinds of wildflowers.















We drove back through the Los Angeles Crest Forest, taking a route new to us, and found that mountainsides currently displaying a lot of green, plus some wildflowers of their own.









All-in-all, a well-spent afternoon amongst the flowers!
