Our good friend Kenny, who co-owns JournalScape, tested for his half-black sash in his martial art Hwa Rang Do this afternoon, so we drove down to Downey to watch him in a formal demonstration of his techniques, and some sparring.



As far as we know he passed, because they really only have students test if they are certain to pass. Not that they are, but nothing today indicates he didn't, so it seems very likely. So congratulations for that! I wouldn't want to meet him in a street fight.

We hit a good diner for dinner and he and Jenn came over for some good gaming and muscat wine, which goes well with Hunters & Gatherers.

Big day tomorrow for me and Zero. We're competing in a dog show for mutts. More on that when we know the results in about 12 hours.
