The biggest annual gaming convention, known as Origins, takes place this weekend. Without me!

That makes the third year in row of missing it. First, unemployed so no funds. Second, brand new job and wedding in Idaho to attend. Third, not on the July 4th weekend like usual, so would require three days of vacation to attend.

While generally taking vacation days is worth it to me, I do want a long vacation this year, and between those three days and some probably to be needed to help my mom move across the country, there just isn't the time. Had it been on the 4th weekend, it would have meant a free day and made it more feasible. Oh well, maybe next year.

I miss playing SFB 'til my eyes bleed a great deal.
