For those of you who may have been wondering about my sister's baby, here's an update. I hesitated to post until having complete information because there have been complications.

As I understand it, baby Aspen Raen Young joined the world as her own self in the wee hours of Tuesday morning after inducement beginning early the previous afternoon. Aparently the delivery could have been smoother, and baby wasn't well.

According to those on the spot, Aspen had fluid in her lungs as well as possible other problems. Hospital services chose to fly her by plane from Ketchum to Boise, but daddy Breck accompanied her. Although not life-threatened, Ketchum could not handle Aspen's condition and thought Boise better equipped for ensuring best possible care.

Mommy Krista has been released from the hospital for a day or so now, but suffers from dizziness and hopes and expects to travel to Boise (and may be there by now).

So we await more news, especially happy news that Aspen will get to go home soon and all turns out well for everyone involved.
