2004-03-03 12:09 PM Coughing Boy Mood: Ugh Read/Post Comments (2) |
Another day at home, taking it easy, sleeping, eating soup. Now it's a persistent deep coughing thing. Sigh. The fevers appear to have stopped, though.
I did manage to get to campus last evening for my course, because it meets so infrequently that even missing one class (which I already did) can make it very easy to get behind. Now... for some good news: One of my beta demo CDs went to a UCLA prof. who has built the UCLA Cultural VR Lab, which he uses to show off virtual reconstructions of ancient Roman buildings. They use heavy-duty Unix systems, wall-sized presentation projectors, and know what they're doing. He writes: The demo disk just arrived here intact. It's beautiful. Congratulations. Your QT pans are among the best I've ever seen. It would be nice to have you re-shoot our Roman Forum pans. There would be about 5 or 6. How much would that cost and could you do it this May or June? Now the fun begins, eh? My plan is to work out an arrangement to tack a trip to Rome onto the fieldwork in York. Maybe go from LA to Rome to London to York, then reverse it all. Watch this space for details. This summer might be a lot more fun than last. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
