After dropping off the dogs Saturday morning, Shelley finally found out what was in store for her for the weekend, and she was pleased.

Train trip north: relaxing ride along the coast, even saw some dolphins and whales.

Day in Monterey: terrific walking, cycling, eating, shopping, and visiting aquarium.

Return trip: train an hour late arriving, and delayed another hour along the way, so we didn't get the sunset dinner along the coast, but did catch a couple movies.
