Happy First-House Closing to Paul and Brenda and Jade! How excitin'! We had take-out Chinese as well, to celebrate vicariously with you.



Those happened yesterday...

So did Netflix announce its quarterly report, and today its stock got hammered. They decided to raise subscription prices, and made some other announcements about outlook, DVD acquisition, and so on.

Mixed results overall, but the stock dropped more than 15% today and that's never fun. We're considing buying more (hey, it's on sale!) but we're still debating. Could be meat. Could be cake.


OTOH, our other fun stock (and by fun I mean fast-rising, could have the rug pulled out from under it at any time) called Taser rose 15%. Unfortunately we have only 30 shares of it and hundreds of NFLX. (Taser makes non-lethal stun guns, and its stock has risen some six thousand percent the past year for various reasons... not so much for us because we haven't owned it that long, but still a decent flier).
