Just back from the Post Office, where six demo virtual tour CDs were mailed to prospective venues:

• The USS Midway (an aircraft carrier about to open as a floating museum down in San Diego)
  
• Mission San Juan Capistrano
  
• The Maritime Museum of San Diego (who own several tall ships and currently have the frigate HMS Surprise there as well)
  
• The Queen Mary luxury liner parked in Long Beach
  
• Shoals Marine Lab (for confirmation from last fall)
  
• The Planes of Fame museum in Chino
  

A few more will go out early next week, after more customized cover letters are written for them.

I celebrated with two donuts!

And a clear conscience for tomorrow's day-long bike ride. We're leaving late this afternoon for San Luis Obispo and the longest rides either of us have done so far. Dogs are at the sitters. All lights are green!
