2004-11-30 3:37 PM Web Manager Waiting Mood: Whatever Read/Post Comments (0) |
Just finished the interview for the Web Manager position for the Tseng College here at CSUN. It was definitely weird for me being interviewed for a new job by my current boss.
I don't believe I did terribly well on the talking part of the interview because I have not so much background in marketing or the Windows technologies they would ideally want, and often could not think of a suitably complex team-project that seemed applicable to their hypothetical situations. However I do believe that they were all suitably impressed by my three-page, ten-point "ways to improve your new web site" document that I had printed for each of them. It took me the better part of two days to draft that and I referred to it several times while talking. Of course it comes down to the competition. Knowing two of the five interviewers already will probably help somewhat too. And it will depend on whether they think my strengths and weaknesses will fit their needs. Now we wait and see whether they make an offer or not. I did mention that I've pretty much outgrown my new job and am looking for new challenges, so I'm not sure how my boss will take that, should they not offer this one to me.
