I'd have never believed it, but a recent phone discussion with my sister put me on the trail of some wine she likes, called Jest Red.

Not being able to track down any locally (not that I tried all that hard), I ordered from their on-line store. A dozen bottles arrived Wednesday so we tried it out that very night.

It's not particularly sophisticated to call wine lip-smacking-good, but then most wines don't have the attitude of Jest Red. Take a look at their web site to see what I mean.

Also, Jest Red has two cousins: Jest Pink and Jest White.

All three varieties are, um, varietals and the case we ordered included four bottles of each, so if you'd like to try some, come on over.




PS. The cider we brought back from Ithaca's starting to fizz up nicely. What a happy house.
