Looks like we'll have a new car on Saturday morning!

We want to dress it up all spiffy, so we're going to get personalized plates. If you have suggestions or comments on our ideas below, feel free to chime in. I'll list our top contenders, and some others that I know are taken. If some of them don't mean anything to you, I'll let you work on them until they do. (Hint: Aug 24 '91 is our anniversary.)

In CA, it's also possible to get "kids" plates that allow the use of a heart (as in "I ♥ New York") or an open palm or other symbols. (Your web browser may or may not show a heart symbol; in Firefox 1.5 for Mac, when I write this journal entry I see it, but after I post, it turns into a bar character. That may have something to do with the JournalScape character encoding being used.)

We're limited to seven characters, plus a half-space if desired. If you want to see whether a particular plate is already taken, use the CA DMV Personalized Plates web site to try them out.
