2006-06-24 8:51 AM European Panorama Photo Contest Mood: Excited Read/Post Comments (2) |
At the end of May, with only a few hours to go before the deadline, I submitted a panorama to the European Panorama Photo Contest. Yesterday news arrived that my entry had made the finals, out of 1,100 entrants. Woo-hoo!
Although I shot this image to use in QuickTime VR, the contest is not about QTVR at all, but rather just nice wide-format images that can be printed out and hung on a wall. And, the top prize for the contest is a wide-format printer with 10 meters of paper for printing panoramic images. You can look at the contest entries on the site referenced above for some idea of the competition. I have written back to them asking how many images they selected as finalists, and which ones they picked, but I suspect they won't say. Here's the image I sent (taken with the Panoscan in England two years ago): Whitby Abbey Ruins, Northumbria, England Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
