We ran our cable modem and wireless router out to our big front room so we and our seven guests could find a comfortable space to set up and play Warcraft on various laptop and desktop computers in one room during the evening.

Shelley's turkey earned her the usual appropriate compliments and kept away the pizza delivery guys even though we played until 2:30 in the morning, ringing in the new year three or four times as our WoW friends in other parts of the country hit midnight before we did. We drank two bottles of champagne and a couple more of wine and had a grand time killing pixellated foes of all sorts.




Earlier in the day, before any guests had arrived, I noticed that Kelley has made an important new discovery: her bellybutton!




Kelley doesn't ponder it so much as poke her finger in it.
