As you may imagine, the past couple of weeks have been particularly hectic.

At home we have that big list of to-do items. We have accomplished the vast majority - even more actually, as we found new things to fix as we went along - and Shelley can finish the final couple if we don't get them done in the next two days.

On top of all those things, there is the packing and moving boxes and boxes to storage (about 75 so far). More of that over the next couple days, but most of it's done.

To make all of the above worse, we - all three of us - have had a nasty cough / fever / cold thing for about 10 days now. It seems to have finally passed, but it didn't help. Perhaps the stress of all this exacerbated it, or vice-versa, but the sooner it goes the better we'll all be.

At work, for me, it means wrapping up a lot of loose ends, including documenting what I've done for the past three years. For some reason my boss has not sent out a "see ya" message to the college staff, so people keep coming by in drips and drops to see if the rumors are true, and find out more.

I'm rather excited about moving back to Ithaca and joining a top-notch team in web development, being amongst old friends, and out in the countryside again. Of course I'd prefer Shelley and Kelley to be with me, but we'll have to deal with the short-term pain for the long-term gain.

I'll be staying the next five weeks with Bob, Helen, and their Kelley-aged son Adam. We appreciate their generosity and offering to play host for that time.
