2006-04-23 6:45 AM horses, horses, horses We went to the horse show today as planned. We were lucky, it was a beautiful, sunny day and the drive was a very pleasant one. Took us about 1-1/2 hours to make the trip and the traffic was light.
I never saw so many horses in one place...what magnificent animals. There sure is a lot of hard work involved in showing a horse...mucking the stalls being the most unpleasant task. My friend placed second in her event...not bad for a New Yorker. She does both western..and jumping, but not at the same time..she won her ribbon for jumping. She and her horse have been together for 12 years and they have such trust in each other. Beautiful sight to see. While we were there, I met a woman who had a stall next to my friend. She had 2 Corgy pups...8 weeks old. It was all I could do not to bring them home. Course the threat of my daughter throwing me out in the cold may have had something to do with my decision to leave the place pupless...but they were soooooo cute! It was a wonderful day...ain't life good? Read Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
