"In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed." Kahlil Gibran

the winds they blew!

It started off as a sunny day but along about 3 in the afternoon, everything started turning gray.

It wasn't long before the raindrops began to fall. Soon the sky was nearly black, the wind blew wildly and the rain turned into a torrential downpour.,,,some places nearby even got hailstones.

Thunder boomed, lightning struck the ground. Electrical power flickered on and off. It was a doozy of a storm.

Fortunately there was no major damage...a few pieces of lawn furniture strewn about and a couple of small branches here and there.

I began watching the storm from the front porch but when the winds came and the rain flew, I moved inside to the living room.

Through the bay window we could watch the lightning strike..it was like fireworks on the 4th of July. Mother nature at her most raucous.

This morning the sun is shining again.

life is good.
