2014-01-09 9:20 AM In and Out(ch) Well, I'm out of the hospital.
Oh. I was in the hospital. To have a 1.2 centimeter nodule removed from the lower portion of my left lung. It's benign. In fact, it's fungus. Yech. Fungus. I'll find out why (or maybe not) sometime in the next few weeks. So, on Monday, I had surgery on my lung in Mt. Sinai Hospital. 3 little holes in my back, a 1" x 4" wedge removed from my lung (along with the fungus nodule) and lots and lots of pain medication. I didn't realize how much pain I was in until I got home, took a nap and missed a pain medication dose. My body was shaking from a small fever, which caused pain in my left chest area, which made me tense, which caused pain, which finally made me actually cry. Cry like a 6 year old who fell on his face or something. Which caused more pain, more crying, more tension. Until I finally took charge and calmed down, stopped crying, stopped convulsing and took the freaking pain killer. Now my alarm is set for every 4 hours until that bottle is empty. I'm a big boy!
