First of all, I’d like to congratulate Greg on the news that a “Year’s Best Anthology” wants to reprint his story that appeared in Starlight 3. I’m very proud of him.

Had kind of a lazy weekend. Greg and I are both still feeling a bit ill – mostly just tired, rather than having any other typical cold or flu symptoms. I took a long nap this afternoon. That’s such a decadent way to spend a day off. Topped off the day by having dinner at Krispy Kreme. Yes, donuts for dinner. It’s a holiday. I’m allowed.

Had one of those weeks where I couldn’t go anywhere without seeing students, former and present. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised; in my years as a TA and instructor in the Phoenix metro area, I’ve taught at least 1000 students. I am pleased that they don’t flee in terror when they see me.

Right now, Greg and I are both typing on our laptop computers. The way they are set up on the table makes it look like we’re playing “Battleship”. I’m trying really hard not to make sound effects.

It is sad to think that we’re actually hoping that a plane crash was an accident.
