2002-02-12 9:30 PM One of those days |
I woke up this morning, feeling like I hadn't slept at all. A bad thing, considering that I had to teach at 7:30am until now (9:30ish pm). I somehow managed to muddle through, but it was a weird day. It started off with the student who left his pants in lab. We were doing a lab exercise involving different light sources, so the overhead lights were off and the room was kinda dark. Several students left belongings behind because they just didn't see them. I guess this student had brought spare pants to change into at some point during the day. Anyways, as I am cleaning up after lab, I come across a pair of mens' pants. Luckily for me, the student came back to retrieve them before I went to my office. The last thing I would want to explain is a student coming to my office and saying, "Did I leave my pants with you?" Then, as I'm grading in class exercises, I find that a student has written a Latin benediction on his paper. If I translated correctly, I'm quite exalted. What makes people do that?
And I haven't even mentioned the young man with his fly down in office hours or the student who asked if I'd help him in a sex ed class if he took one in the future. It was one of THOSE days. Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
